Mongol Rally - Week One Update
27th July 2009
The team called into the TRAC office on Friday 18th July on route to Goodwood, where they met up with all of the other participants from the UK, 350 cars in total.
They left there the following day and in the first week they have travelled 2100 miles since leaving Cornwall and have driven through seven countries - France Belgium Holland Germany Czech Republic Poland and Ukraine.
They are now heading for the Russia border. You can track their location every three minutes at www.Sequar.co.uk – click on the link for Penzance Pirates!
The suspension is starting to suffer; they haven’t had a shower for 72 hours and only 8,000 miles left to go.
To keep them going you can make a donation to their fund raising efforts at www.justgiving.com/penzance2mongolia.
Look out for more updates soon.
