Cornwall Business Awards

TRAC founders Sarah and Jonathan Trethowan were named 'business leaders of the year' at the prestigious 2009 Cornwall Business Awards. A fantastic personal achievement and demonstration of the continued growth and strength of TRAC.

ISO 9001: 2000

In February 2009 TRAC received ISO 9001: 2000 certification, the internationally recognised standard for an organisation's internal Quality Management.

Excellence in Business Training Awards 2009

These awards, in their second year, celebrate businesses who have seen outstanding benefits from their commitment to training and development, and who have embraced the importance of training by making changes to their business.  They are hosted by Cornwall College Business supported by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

TRAC were delighted to be short-listed in the outstanding commitment to training (SME) award category this year.

The Hub Awards – 2008

The Hub is an exciting and dynamic network created and run by forward thinking business people in Cornwall to support business leaders of tomorrow.  Now in its fourth year the Hub Awards 2008 recognised the brightest stars of Cornwall’s business community.

One of TRAC’s senior regulatory affairs executives, Graham Donaldson, collected the award for Hub Contributor of the Year.  This award for Contributor of the Year is judged by the steering committee and given to a member who has shown outstanding commitment to the network during 2008.

The Chamber Awards 2008

TRAC has been chosen as the regional winner in the Chamber Awards 'Excellence in People Development' category sponsored by Train to Gain.

The Chamber Awards were launched by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) in 2004 to recognise and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of its Accredited Chambers of Commerce, their members and non-members. The number of entries for the 2008 awards was higher than ever which is indicative of the success and profile of the Awards. As well as the number, the high calibre of the entries gave the judges quite a challenge.

Investors in People

Following our recent review we are delighted to announce that TRAC continues to be recognised as Investors in People, and based upon the results of the review we have qualified for additional recognition as Investors in People Silver status.  Organisations who achieve Investors in People Bronze, Silver and Gold status currently represent the top 1% of recognised Investors in People organisations.  So this is an exceptional achievement for the company.

The Cornwall Brand

In January 2008 TRAC were assigned ambassador status for The Cornwall Brand. We believe that working from Cornwall inspires a greater sense of direction which adds a vital dimension to our consulting and advisory partnerships. Having the space to think freely and clearly gives us a fresh perspective which benefits anyone working with us.

The Cornwall Business Awards are designed to spotlight the rising stars in Cornwall's business community; both TRAC and our Managing Directors were nominated and successfully won several awards.

Unlocking Cornish Potential: Excellence in Project Management

In June 2008 one of our team, Sarah Haywood, won the award for 'Excellence in Project Management'. This award recognised the pivotal role of project management in the successful completion of any given project.

In 2006 Graham Donaldson received the award for 'Catalyst for Business Growth' for his impact at TRAC during his initial 12 month project.

Excellence in Business Training

TRAC is dedicated to training and this was recognised in January 2008 when we were presented with the 'Graduate Development Award' at the Excellence in Business Training Awards 2008. These awards were hosted by Cornwall College Business and supported by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
